Potatoes. 2 Ways.


The potatoes were looking so fine at the market that even though my head said to go with summery produce, we stuck by our roots and compromised with a mixed green salad.

We made potatoes two ways:

1) crisp, matchstick sweet potato fries baked with a spice blend of cumin, coriander, salt, pepper, and a heavy sprinkle of diced jalapeno.

2) fat fingerlings boiled, flattened, and then pan-fried with a similar spice blend that featured dill and a mustard dipping sauce made from Vegenaise, dijon mustard, and hot sauce to break it down.
