Artisana Nut Butter Giveaway Winning Entry.

Thanks for entering my first giveaway. I sampled the three finalists' recipes over the weekend and consulted with Mr. Vedge on which recipe idea really showcased the nut butter.

Here is the winning recipe...

We decided on Nozer's Nut Butter and Coconut Balls. Now even though the recipe calls for peanut butter, I found that cashew butter worked quite well in these delicious two-bite snacks. What I liked about this recipe was how approachable it would be for anyone who wanted to experiment with a different nut butter for the first time. Raw nut butters are not the super sweet and creamy butters we grow up with, but this recipe really bridges the gap.

1 cup old fashioned oats
handful of roasted almonds
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter or other nut butter
1/2 cup honey or agave syrup
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut

Grind the oats and almonds to a fine powder.
Mix the peanut butter and honey in a separate bowl and add the powdered oats and almonds mixture.
Once mixed well, roll into small balls and roll them in the coconut.
