Frosted.
Beyond simply sounding edgy, mysterious, and Icelandic, Glacier Creme is brought to you by a local, Aaron Cohen. I had a $5 discount through Daily Candy and I was all out of my facial suncreen.
Yes, I use a separate sunscreen for face and body. Regular sunscreen is too streaky for the face and gives you a mask-like look. Rubbing it in just makes it flaky. My skin does not cooperate.
I was interested in something that would not leave my face shiny (a liberal dusting of mineral powder always followed my application). I wear some type of SPF every day year-round, and now I can happily say that I've found an AMAZING product.
It feels like you are wearing nothing. But you are - SPF 30 UVA/UVB.
It gives your skin a matte, porcelain look.
It's hydrating - plankton, shea butter, Vitamin E.
It's antiaging with sunflower and tea extracts. All natural ingredients.
The insistent September sun is upon us, and Glacier Creme kept it at a safe distance for me today. My skin still looks near vampiric and translucent. I've gone through so many organic sunscreens this summer with unhappy results, but I've finally found a real keeper. You can purchase it online for $25.
